Job Summary:
We are seeking a Culturally Safe Health Services Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a meaningful difference in the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will work as a key member of our multi-disciplinary team to provide primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. The role involves activities in response to the physical, emotional, cultural and environmental needs of people and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- Working effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team
- Developing and delivering health promotion and education initiatives
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to improve health outcomes
Selection Criteria:
- Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage and have established links with their local Aboriginal community
- Hold a minimum of Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a relevant Certificate III health qualification
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the local Aboriginal community
- Ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people
