Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Operations team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical plant machinery and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment.
  • Identify defective mechanical components or equipment.
  • Repair/replacement of faulty components or equipment.
  • Follow and complete all required reports correctly.
  • Understand all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative obligations.
  • Take corrective action where necessary in response to reported defects.
  • Work in accordance with the shutdown department HSEQ plans which focus on all aspects of the HSEQ system.
  • Carry out work in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions.
Requirements:
  • Fitter Trade Certificate.
  • 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to service, diagnose and repair Machinery and Fixed Plant equipment.
  • Excellent communications and organisational skills.
  • Previous FIFO or mine site experience.
  • Working at Heights.
  • Confined Space.
  • White card.
