Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver and continuously improve postgraduate programs to meet academic standards and industry requirements.
  • Oversee student progression, retention and completion rates to ensure a positive student experience.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence by championing initiatives that enhance supervision quality and academic support.
  • Maintain a high level of academic integrity, risk management, and quality assurance across the portfolio.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to strengthen national and international partnerships and engagement.
  • Drive curriculum innovation and quality through effective collaboration with academics and stakeholders.
  • Manage workforce planning, recruitment, and succession within the discipline to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Chair relevant committees and contribute to governance and strategic planning to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure effective financial management and operational accountability to achieve academic objectives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing academic culture that promotes professional development and career advancement.

About You:

  • A PhD in a relevant Education discipline.
  • An excellent scholarly record in teaching and research in Education.
  • Strong leadership skills to create a cohesive and productive academic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to foster positive relationships with staff and students.
  • A proven track record of mentoring and coaching staff to achieve goals aligned with individual career progression and School priorities.
  • Ability to lead change through effective consultation and collaboration.
  • Willingness to teach offshore in international postgraduate courses.
