About the Role

We are urgently looking for a Support Data Analyst to provide critical support to our data analytics platform and provide a robust data management and support in our growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent SQL scripting and querying skills, as well as experience with development tools like Python, R, PySpark, etc.

Skill Sets

The successful candidate will have the following skill sets:

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL queries, scripting, joins, and stored procedures.
  • Experience in big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, etc. (nice to have).
  • Understanding of financial market systems and exposure to Risk or compliance programs.
  • Experience in data, reporting, and analytics platform management, including upgrades, patching, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with ETL, data integration, and migration projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd Level application/systems support for the Data analytics platform.
  • Ensure systems uptime meets set SLAs.
  • Ensure our data, reporting, and analytics platform are efficiently managed, including upgrades, patching, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Maintain the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of data on a timely basis. Monitor data pipelines ensuring they operate within acceptable limits, and continuously improve the efficiency, quality, and transparency.
  • Continually review and update processes to increase functionality and efficiency.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who has strong SQL and Spark skills and has exposure in working in Financial Markets for a bank. Only Australian Permanent Residents and Citizens are required for this role.
