About the Role

Peter Mac is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse to lead and coordinate a cutting-edge digital health project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and evaluation of a digital mental health pathway of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct literature reviews and write summaries of the project
  • Assist with ethics submissions and amendments as required
  • Develop interventions and resource materials
  • Develop and deliver intervention education packages for staff
  • Ensure up-to-date processes are established to identify and refer patients according to the project plan
  • Conduct screening and recruitment of patients into the project
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in mental health nursing
  • Experience in working within a triage model of mental health care delivery for general hospital patients
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to comprehensively assess risk and escalate through appropriate pathways
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of mental health issues within the general health and oncology setting
  • Understanding and awareness of delivering therapeutic resources through a digital platform
