Job Role:

Climate Tech Investment Professional

We are seeking an experienced Climate Tech Investment Professional to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in identifying, evaluating, and managing cutting-edge climate tech investments.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough due diligence on potential investments, engaging with corporate partners, and supporting portfolio companies and founders in achieving their growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments, including external interviews, financial analysis, market research, competitive analysis, and technology assessments.
  • Synthesise DD information into investment memos and respond to internal committee questions.
  • Assist in the management and support of portfolio companies, including founder and corporate partner engagement, performance monitoring, strategic planning, and operational improvements.
  • Identify and source potential investment opportunities in the climate tech sector through networking, industry events, and market research.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development and growth of junior team members.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in the climate tech space to inform investment strategies.

Requirements:

  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Professional experience: 3-5+ years of experience in an investment role (VC, PE, Infrastructure) or have a due diligence role (consulting, advisory, IB, government grants).
  • Desirable knowledge or experience in the climate tech and/or one of CTP's target sectors (Energy, Transport and Industry).
