  • This role is for a skilled engineer who will work in a hybrid environment at our client premises in Canberra, Australia.
  • The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Microsoft Intune Endpoint Management and Azure Cloud Operations, specifically in monitoring and backup.
  • You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our endpoint management system, cloud resource monitoring platform, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Ensure our infrastructure is performant, highly available, secure, and compliant.
  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Intune for modern unified endpoint management (MDM & MAM) of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Develop and enforce endpoint compliance policies, integrating with Azure AD Conditional Access to enforce a Zero Trust security model.
  • Utilize Windows Autopilot for zero-touch, 'out-of-box' device deployment.
  • Configure metric alerts and log alerts, integrating them with Azure Action Groups, ITSM tools or Microsoft Teams/Email for timely notification.
  • Establish health and performance baselines and set up proactive alerting for key resources like Azure VMs, AKS, and databases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of IT operations experience with Intune and Azure Monitor and Azure Backup.
  • Proficiency with Autopilot, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and integration with Conditional Access.
  • Hands-on experience authoring KQL queries, configuring alerts, and building monitoring Workbooks.
  • Practical experience configuring and managing Azure Backup to protect both Azure and on-premises workloads, including performing restore operations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex, cross-domain problems.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
