Job Opportunity

About the Role:

  • The Principal Education Officer will develop and deliver curriculum resources that support teaching and learning in Queensland state schools.
  • They will work with the Curriculum team to implement education strategies focused on equity and excellence.
  • Key responsibilities include creating continuity of learning for all students, maintaining published curriculum resources, and developing professional development materials.

**Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:**

  1. Planning, implementation, and review of projects that foster high-quality teaching practice, instructional leadership, effective school administration, and community partnerships.
  2. Developing strategies and coordinating projects to deliver services focused on high-quality teaching practice, instructional leadership, school administration, and community partnerships.
  3. Contributing to research and identification of solutions to issues impacting student outcomes and school improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with AC.
  • Teaching experience, knowledge, and skills (preferably primary).
  • High-level written, spoken, and digital communication skills including the ability to create high-quality curriculum support resources and professional development materials.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work successfully both within a team and autonomously on complex projects.
