Senior Quantum Technology Specialist

Expert Laser Professionals are sought for the development of cutting-edge quantum technology.
Job OpportunityWe require a skilled and experienced laser scientist to design, develop and test high-performance laser systems. This is a critical role in our research team where you will be responsible for creating innovative solutions that advance the field of quantum sensing.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and build advanced laser systems with emphasis on miniaturisation and robustness.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware development engineers and quantum control experts.
- Develop and analyse device designs, operational mechanisms and control solutions for quantum sensors based on cutting-edge technologies.
- Work with hardware partners to integrate control techniques for sensor operation and data fusion.
- Enhance sensor performance by designing agile and robust laser systems.
- A PhD in Physics, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience working with fibre and free space laser systems.
- Experience in atomic interferometry, atom optics, cold atom systems, gravimetry etc.
- Skilled in laser system design, construction and testing.
- Prior experience in ruggedising optical, laser and photonic systems for field deployment is highly valued.
- Background in scientific device design, construction, commissioning and data analysis is essential.
