Job Title: Metals Sector Leader

The successful candidate will be responsible for actively supporting and participating in the origination and execution of high-quality mandates in the Metals & Mining sector, both locally and globally.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Supporting and participating in the origination and execution of high-quality mandates in the Metals & Mining sector;
  • Builidng strong client relationships at appropriate levels and actively engaging with clients;
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of M&A processes and associated legal and regulatory frameworks;
  • Demonstrated experience within and understanding of the global Metals & Mining sector.
  • Project Management:
  • Leading day-to-day project management and transaction execution;
  • Preparing presentation materials for use with clients, covering origination and execution phases;
  • Performing financial and valuation analyses using various methodologies;
  • Overseeing the building of detailed financial models;
  • Conducting research and financial analysis of companies, markets and industries based on public filings, research reports and other sources;
  • Taking a leading role in all stages of transaction execution, from pitch phase to negotiation and closing.
  • Talent Development:
  • Setting an example and fostering a positive culture and values;
  • Collaborating with other teams and offices to achieve common goals;
  • Managing junior team members on a daily basis;
  • Mentoring and assisting in the development of junior team members.
  • Risk Management:
  • Ensuring the team adheres to all internal compliance requirements;
  • Complying with highest standards of regulatory conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements;
  • Addressing any audit and compliance issues related to the M&A business in a timely manner.
  • Governance:
  • Being aware and understanding the regulatory framework governing the Group's operations, including relevant regulatory requirements and expectations for the role.
  • Business Conduct:
  • Demonstrating exemplary conduct and upholding the Group's Values and Code of Conduct;
  • Taking personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the organization.
