Maintenance Manager Role Overview

The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing all physical aspects of buildings and resources. This includes managing contractors, ensuring effective coordination and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe environment exists for staff, residents, clients, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Manage maintenance schedules for all contracted tasks and ensure effective coordination and monitoring.
  • Follow guidelines and regulations for all contractors.
  • Liaise with Service Managers when unscheduled works affect services.
  • Contribute to the development of a Preventative Maintenance Program and deliver it competently within agreed timeframes.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance work requests competently and within agreed timeframes.
  • Document works performed accurately and efficiently using LogIt to monitor, record, report progress, and close work requests when completed.

Requirements

  • Trade qualification relevant to Facilities Maintenance or Construction (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Construction or Facilities Maintenance role.
  • A current NSW White card.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex and competing demands under dynamic time pressures.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel and Word).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment under minimal supervision.
