Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Nursing Opportunities

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our orthopaedic and neurosurgical nursing team. This is a permanent part-time role working night shift.

About Our Team:

The Moreland Ward at John Fawkner Private Hospital specialises in Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery & Plastic Surgery. We offer state of the art surgical, medical, cancer, coronary and intensive care facilities.

Our Critical Care Complex is renowned for complex surgery, providing intensive and high-dependency care post-surgery.

Job Description:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based standards of nursing care
  • Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Act as a role model for safe practice
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery

Essential Criteria:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an acute hospital setting, ideally in a surgical ward
  • Orthopaedic and neurosurgical nursing highly regarded
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Works independently and within a team
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional computer skills
