Store Operations Manager

At TenTops, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Store Support Lead to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in driving sales, controlling expenses, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Store Manager in leading the Customer Service Assistants and driving key performance indicators.
- Responsible for key administration functions, including personnel management, payroll, cash management, stock management, cleanliness, and safety.
- Lead Front End Operations and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Train and develop staff on our Customer Service values and standards.
- Ensure accurate and efficient cash handling procedures.
- Authorise register functions, including post voids, returns, and discounts.
- Comply with Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Assist in receiving and stocking procedures, including checking off stock to invoice.
- Drive Key Metrics: Sales, Margin, and Expense Control.
- Perform store maintenance, including taking out garbage, cleaning, and maintaining the stock room.
- Frequently operate computer, printer, and cash register.
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 10kg and up to a height of 1.5-3m.
- Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
- Frequent use of stock trolleys, pallet jacks for the moving of stock.
- Frequently position self to kneel, bend, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
- Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with staff.
- Recent relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated understanding and willingness to provide excellence in customer service.
- Ability to multi-task, direct, and manage people.
- Creative thinking.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Solid numeracy skills.
