The Opportunity Overview
This position entails providing expert legal guidance on critical infrastructure projects in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities and Objectives
- Develop, review and negotiate contracts for transmission infrastructure projects and grid connections.
- Provide comprehensive legal support during project delivery, ensuring seamless contract administration.
- Contribute to successful deals worth $50-$100 million annually by offering strategic legal advice.
- Offer expert counsel on the implications of changes in the legal and regulatory environment.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Admitted to practice law in Australia or New Zealand.
- A minimum of 5 years PAE experience, preferably in private practice or in-house.
- Prior experience in providing regulatory advice is highly advantageous.
- Proven commercial drafting, reviewing and negotiating skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information
- Australia or New Zealand admission required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Regulatory advice experience beneficial.
