Catholic Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Lifestyle Assistant to join our team. As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can assist in the design, delivery, and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities. This may include:

  • Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
  • Assisting in the implementation of innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers, and residents' family and friends
  • Providing direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting
  • Provide direct resident care in relation to meals service, mobility, and social support
  • Supporting peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar
  • The ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • A reliable team player
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents
