Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aboriginal Heritage Officer to drive our heritage and engagement initiatives forward. This is an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person to make a meaningful contribution to the clean energy sector.

The Opportunity

This role requires someone with 5 years of experience in the Heritage and Engagement space, possessing impeccable interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to support confidence and encourage motivation in community members, demonstrate proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and possess knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive heritage and engagement initiatives forward
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 years of experience within the Heritage and Engagement space
  • A respectful approach to working with Indigenous peoples from various communities
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders
  • Ability to support confidence and encourage motivation in community members
  • Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
