Biomedical Mechanical Technician Role

Mater Health Services seeks a skilled Junior Biomedical Mechanical Technician to join the Engineering and Maintenance team. This role involves delivering routine biomedical mechanical services and undertaking tasks under senior practitioners' supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver routine biomedical mechanical services, working under the direction of more senior practitioners.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, receiving guidance from senior practitioners.
  • Independently make decisions and complete routine tasks within your scope.
  • Pursue professional development through training and continuing education.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an Associate Diploma (prior to 2000) or a Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill in servicing biomedical equipment, including Medical Gas Blenders, Anaesthetic equipment, and Medical Pendants.
  • A restricted electrical work license as issued by the Electrical Workers and Contractors Board (QLD).
  • Prior experience working with Anaesthetic equipment is desirable.
