Biomedical Mechanical Technician Role

This role offers the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team in providing routine biomedical mechanical services and undertaking various tasks under the direction of senior practitioners.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical or biomedical engineering, with skills in servicing Biomedical Mechanical Equipment such as Medical Gas Blenders, Anaesthetic equipment, Medical Pendants etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver routine biomedical mechanical services and undertake tasks under the direction of senior practitioners.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Make decisions and carry out routine tasks independently.
  • Participate in introducing new technologies or processes.
  • Pursue ongoing professional and technical development through training.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of Associate Diploma in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate competent knowledge and skill in servicing Biomedical Mechanical Equipment.
  • Hold a restricted electrical work license (competencies 1,3 and 5).
  • Prior experience working with Anaesthetic equipment is desirable.
