Job Title: Administration Officer – Primary Health Care Trainee

The role of the Administration Officer – Primary Health Care Trainee is a key position in our organisation that plays a vital part in ensuring seamless patient flow and effective communication with clients.

  • As the first point of contact, you will meet and greet clients, attend to phone calls and messages, book appointments using the MMex system, maintain specialist calendars, and ensure all correspondence related to GP referrals is scanned and filed in the appropriate patient chart.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing excellent customer service by being friendly, courteous, and respectful to all clients.
  • Managing phone calls and messages efficiently, using the ATSICHS Triage process to ensure timely responses.
  • Booking appointments accurately and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Ensuring confidentiality is observed at all times when dealing with patient information.
Requirements:
  • Must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person in accordance with s25 of the Anti-discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
  • Willingness and ability to undertake a Certificate III Business Administration course.
  • Previous experience working with culturally diverse people, particularly in a healthcare setting.
  • An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications.
  • Current and valid National Police Check.
