Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Operations Analyst to join our dynamic Wealth Management team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the Investment Operations team by efficiently implementing key business processes and acting as a crucial link between the Investment Strategy Group (ISG) and the Operations team.

You will engage with a variety of stakeholders, including internal teams such as Investment Operations, Risk & Compliance, the ISG, Advisers, Associates, and Offshore teams. Additionally, you will liaise with external stakeholders such as Third-Party Service Providers, including Fund Managers, Fund Administrators, Platform Providers, Brokers, and providers of FX and other banking services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee middle office functions, including the management of corporate actions, fund accounting/unit pricing, and reconciliations.
  • Assist in the investment subscriptions and commitments process.
  • Aid in ongoing key strategic projects.
  • Ensure accurate reflection of capital events on client portfolios held on platforms in a timely manner.
  • Perform quarterly reconciliations on investment records and maintain performance models, transaction events, and accurate reporting.
  • Perform and review unit pricing calculations.
  • Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, and other external service providers.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in Investment Administration and/or Investment Operations.
  • Experience within Wealth Management is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, commerce, or a similar field of study.
  • Strong investment acumen, with an understanding of how investments work across a broad range of asset classes including fixed income, credit, equities and private equity.
  • Extensive experience overseeing middle office functions including corporate actions, fund accounting/unit pricing, and reconciliations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of technology and wealth platform providers such as Netwealth, Praemium and Salesforce (desirable, not essential).
  • A strong sense of accountability and ownership of responsibilities.
  • High attention to detail.
