About the Role

The Park Hyatt Sydney is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie - Pastry to join their culinary team. As a key member of the pastry kitchen, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality pastry dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of pastry techniques and ingredients
  • Collaborate with the pastry team to create innovative and visually appealing desserts
  • Ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Monitor and maintain pastry standards in all outlets and banquets
  • Prepare and supervise daily mise en place, ensuring all sections are supplied with fresh and high-quality products
  • Frequently taste and critique pastry products to ensure exceptional quality
  • Establish and enforce sanitation standards for the kitchen

Requirements

  • Completion of Pastry Chef Apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Effective trainer with experience in delivering skills training
  • Good baking skills and knowledge of various cooking methods
  • Skilled in organization of staffing, commodities, and mise-en-place
  • 2 years of work experience as Chef de Partie - Pastry or Demi Chef - Pastry in a hotel or restaurant with good standards
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
