About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Administrator to join our Project Management team at Sentinel Property Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange meetings with cross-functional departments to understand project requirements and ensure seamless communication.
- Prepare tenders, including drafting scopes of work, reviewing contractor pricing, and conducting tender interviews to secure the best possible outcomes.
- Assist the Director of Projects with pre-construction and early investigation works, providing administrative support to ensure projects meet contractual, time, and cost requirements.
- Prepare and submit Capex Requests with project recommendations and preferred contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Manage the procurement process from RFI/RFQ to project close-out, negotiating contract agreements and terms & conditions to protect the company's interests.
- Prepare, review, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements and regulatory standards.
- Provide administrative support to ensure projects meet contractual, time, and cost requirements, liaising with subcontractors to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Review, approve, and administer contractor invoices and variations, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
- Assist in the resolution of contract disputes, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure the company's interests are protected.
- Manage client liaison and third-party stakeholder interactions, ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management (desired).
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry.
- Prior experience as an estimator (highly regarded).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and WHS and NCC provisions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn ad-hoc project management systems.
- Adaptability and flexibility to travel interstate, as required.
