About Incident Management Capability Readiness

We help the community to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from the impact of fire and emergency events.

Our department encompasses operational coordination, analysis and planning functions.

Purpose of role

This role delivers on emergency management strategies through effective coordination, ongoing analysis and stakeholder engagement.

The primary focus is developing readiness needs for the organisation and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational preparedness, response and recovery.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, you will be a key member of the team providing advanced administrative support to operational functions.

You will work with stakeholders to ensure operational readiness, including logistics, planning and reporting meets organisational requirements.

Your part in the ongoing success of our department will see you responsible for a variety of work, including but not limited to:

  • Providing high level administrative and project support.
  • Supporting state operational readiness, including logistics, planning and reporting.
  • Assisting with the delivery of training programs.
  • Developing best practice strategies to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Special requirements

It is expected that the incumbent will participate in an out-of-hours roster during emergency event operations. This may require work outside of normal working hours.
