Financial Leadership Opportunity
Essity Australasia seeks a seasoned finance professional to lead the company's financial operations. As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight into the company's financial performance.
About the RoleThis senior leadership position combines technical expertise with people leadership and business partnering to support decision-making and long-term success. You will work closely with senior leaders to provide strategic financial insights and drive improvements in financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including external audits.
- Oversee general ledger functions and maintain robust internal controls.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership to support business initiatives.
- Drive improvements in financial systems and processes.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification preferred).
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as SAP, BPC, AARO, and Power BI.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
