We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team at Zeidler Partnership Architects. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to team members in the production of all aspects of a project, including schematic design, design development, working drawings, construction administration, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and communicate current project status to the Partner in Charge/Project Manager at regular intervals
  • Work with the team to ensure project success as measured by client satisfaction, work quality, profitability, and fostering team professionalism and collaboration
  • Work with the design team to identify specific design objectives, complex features, and possible solutions
  • Lead team members and actively participate in the preparation of drawing packages for various permit submissions and/or construction
  • Coordinate consultant teams
  • Liaise with clients and Approving Authorities
  • Prepare project code analysis
  • Attend and lead meetings with clients and/or consultants as required
  • Review drawings for Building Science accuracy, consultant coordination, and compliance with local Building Codes and City Bylaw requirements prior to submissions
  • Lead product research, including building components and systems
  • Attend site meetings, complete shop drawing review, and provide contract administration support as required
Requirements
  • Architectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • 5-8 years related experience as an Architectural Technologist
  • Proficiency in Revit and Auto CAD is essential
  • Proficiency in Revisto, Bluebeam, Sketchup, Navisworks would be considered an asset but not required
  • Strong conceptual and design skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intellectually curious and a willingness to learn and take accountability for your role
