We are seeking a Senior Heritage Professional to fill this key role in our operations. This position plays a critical part in ensuring our Aboriginal cultural heritage and Native Title Agreement commitments are effectively implemented across our Australian operations.The successful candidate will have 7+ years of experience in community development, cultural heritage, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within the resources sector. They will be able to maintain positive relationships in complex and challenging environments, especially with Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities.Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting cultural heritage surveys and managing heritage data at the Kalgoorlie Production Centre
  • Engaging with Traditional Owner groups to facilitate heritage assessments and survey requests, ensuring compliance with standards, agreements, and legislation
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders and Traditional Owners to implement Native Title commitments
  • Providing strategic advice on cultural heritage management, Traditional Owner engagement, and community development
  • Fostering long-term, trust-based relationships with Traditional Owners
  • Serving as the senior liaison for day-to-day interactions between the Company and Traditional Owners
  • Ensuring Free, Prior and Informed Consent for Company activities
  • Assisting in developing management plans and proposals in consultation with Traditional Owner groups
  • Supporting regulatory and approval submissions through effective stakeholder engagement planning
  • Building and maintaining community relationships to achieve social performance objectives
  • Providing direction and support to the Heritage Coordinator – Kalgoorlie
