Job Description


We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Professional to join our dynamic team in Sydney. As a key member of our Finance department, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and financial performance across all aspects of our operations.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Financial Forecasting: Develop and analyze quarterly and annual financial forecasts, including revenue projections, operational expenses, capital expenditures, and working capital management.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare detailed monthly financial reports and analysis, including variance and metric analysis to review business performance and support strategic decisions.
  • Commercial Evaluations: Conduct thorough financial evaluations of various commercial initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis, return on investment (ROI), and risk assessments.
  • Business Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, product management, and marketing teams to gather data and provide financial insights that drive business strategy and financial performance.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in developing short-term and long-term financial plans and strategies, aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Problem Solving: Identify financial trends, issues, and opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.


Requirements and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you'll need:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and commercial evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the big picture and attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to manipulate large datasets.
  • ERP experience, preferably with Navision, and sound understanding of Hyperion for management reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
