The Role

As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will contribute to a positive safety culture and the achievement of the SHEQ business plan within the region. Deliver high-quality professional and technical expertise to support environmental risk management of impacts and aspects in the business. Provide expert advice, assistance & support on all SHEQ matters, conduct SHEQ compliance audits, lead ICAM incident investigations, maintain the quality of information in our safety & contractor management systems, manage the Workers Compensation, injury management & Return to Work function within the region, present to internal & external stakeholders on SHEQ performance, activities, priorities & projects, drive continuous improvement in SHEQ through identification, analysis, recommendation & development of SHEQ projects & continuous improvement activities, build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase engagement & influence, to achieve superior SHEQ outcomes.

Requirements

  1. Hands-on skills in environmental monitoring, assessment, and reporting.
  2. Collaborating with teams to ensure that environmental controls are properly planned and executed on-site.
  3. Experience liaising with regulators and councils.
  4. Current Working knowledge of environmental legislation at a National level.
  5. 3 – 5 years senior SHEQ experience within a large, complex organisation in heavy industry or industrial.
  6. Extensive experience conducting SHEQ audits, compiling audit reports, & debriefing results / requirements.
  7. Success in executing programs with well-planned communications and change management strategies.
  8. Ability to effectively engage with & influence internal & external stakeholders at all levels.
  9. Strong reporting and analytical skills, with experience maintaining information contained within SHEQ management systems.
