We are seeking an exceptional Senior Technology Strategist to join our Customer & Engineering unit domain in Data Platforms.

This leadership role plays a pivotal part in delivering customer servicing, credit assessment and product originations technology solutions for the bank's customer via both online and staff-facing channels. As a strategic advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality solutions are delivered to the business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Information Technology, with a focus on systems development, support, and maintenance. A strong background in designing, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs is also essential. Proficiency in Java, systems integration, and familiarity with Spring, Jersey, Shell scripting, Git, Bitbucket, and Kafka are highly desirable.

You will lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex service (cross infrastructure/application) issues that may arise during the application/development life cycle. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to agreed standards and processes within Westpac, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory obligations.
