Philanthropy Specialist

The charity is a national organization focused on addressing educational inequality caused by poverty. We work with young Australians to help them overcome this challenge.

Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will develop and grow meaningful relationships with Major Donors/HNWI and Philanthropic Advisors & Wealth Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities that can lead to major gifts.
  • Support children in achieving their full potential through strategic partnerships.
  • Cultivate and grow relationships with Major Donors/HNWI and Philanthropic Advisors & Wealth Managers.
  • Manage a portfolio of active supporters and drive income growth through prospective pipeline development.
  • Apply thoughtful stewardship and strategic engagement using innovative and best practice donor management techniques.
About You
  • At least 3 years of experience in fundraising for non-profit organizations.
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding financial targets by attracting new donors.
  • Experience in pitching and presenting to HNWIs, PAFs, and wealth managers using Moves Management or CRM databases.
  • Strong relationship building skills with an understanding of best practice in engagement management models.
  • Outstanding communication and persuasive skills, able to be a compelling storyteller and do the ask.
  • High level of experience in successful prospecting.
  • Excellent written communication skills, along with well-developed influential and problem-solving skills.
