About the Role:

As a motivated and skilled Dealership Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day and month-end accounting across several franchises. You will supervise one Assistant Accountant and provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily and monthly accounting activities for multiple franchises.
  • Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements for each franchise.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare the Business Activity Statement.
  • Maintain and submit financial reports to manufacturers.
  • Mentor and manage workflows for an Assistant Accountant.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with automotive accounting software such as Pentana preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills essential.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A willingness to learn and continuously develop your skills.

With a salary of around $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, you will be well rewarded for your hard work and dedication.
