Job Overview

As a Specialist in Child Development, you will work with families and children to develop and prioritize their goals using a routines-based approach.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing evidence-based support to address children's goals across all areas of development.
  • Working with adults supporting the child to develop their capacity.
  • Coordinating support required from other disciplines.
  • Supporting the inclusion and participation of children within their families and communities.
  • Providing consultative support to other professionals.

About the Role:

You will have the opportunity to supplement this role with a clinical position as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.

Key Objectives:

  • Increasing a person's quality of life by improving their skills and enhancing their independence.
  • Developing plans and implementing them with training and regular follow-up and review.

Requirements:

  • You must have considerable experience working with paediatric clients.

  • Occupational Therapist
  • Social Worker
  • Speech Pathologist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Psychologist
  • Counsellor
  • Exercise Physiologist
  • Other Professional
