Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radio Broadcasting Systems Engineer to join our team at Nine Entertainment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our radio broadcasting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the technical support and development of our Melbourne radio team and national Nine Radio technology group.
  2. Manage and maintain existing broadcast Audio over IP infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and deploy new systems.
  3. Develop and maintain technical documentation for 3AW and related facilities.
  4. Participate in an on-call roster with some out-of-hours work when required.
  5. Collaborate with other Nine Technology and internal teams to provide mentoring, support, and solutions for the benefit of the business.

Requirements

  1. Extensive experience as a team lead or manager in a technology Support and/or Build role within the Radio Broadcasting industry.
  2. Formal qualifications in audio engineering, electronic engineering, IT/networking, or related technology preferred, but other relevant equivalent qualifications and experience will be considered.
  3. Experience deploying and/or supporting the following Radio broadcast software and hardware:
    1. Zetta
    2. Telos Alliance / Axia products
    3. Klotz
    4. Wheatstone
    5. Lawo broadcast systems including VSM
    6. Broadcast Bionics
    7. Newsboss
    8. Tieline Codecs
  4. Working knowledge of Cisco networking and products.
  5. Factum Radioscape and DAB+AM Radio transmission links, monitoring, and transmitter systems.
