Academic Sessional Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Academic Sessional to join our team at the University of Notre Dame Australia. As an Academic Sessional, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct lectures, theoretical tutorials, and/or workshops in consultation with the Discipline Lead, preparing lesson plans and facilitating group discussions.
- Consult with students on readings, weekly topics, and assessment, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
- Mark and provide feedback on assessment activities, ensuring timely and accurate feedback to students.
- Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator/Program Coordinator, contributing to the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategies.
- Manage short-term extension requests in line with University policy, ensuring fairness and consistency in decision-making.
- Comply with policies and procedures in all aspects of work and conduct, upholding the University's values and standards.
- You hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and are registered with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist. Postgraduate qualifications in occupational therapy or education are desirable.
- You possess knowledge and understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in occupational therapy, with a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to foster high levels of collegiality and empathy with students.
- You are able to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes, including online delivery, and have a proven ability to assess priority of tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines in a busy education environment.
