Tyre Specialist

Heavy earthmoving equipment requires regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. This role involves removing and fitting rims and wheel assemblies, as well as tyres and wheel assemblies, as required.

• Perform tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust, and report to supervisor.
• Source technical information from available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems.
• Initiate actions to prevent equipment non-conformance, identify and record quality problems, and recommend solutions through designated channels.

• Experience working as a tyre fitter in open-cut mining is essential for the maintenance of heavy earthmoving tyre fleets.
• Hold current AUR21920 Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012 qualifications.
• Current Drivers Licence (HR drivers licence desirable) and valid Standard 11 are also required.

• Banksia camp - up to 20 minutes from site.
• Even time roster of 7/7 and 12.25hr days/nights on offer.
• Living off camp allowance for Blackwater residence only.

• The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience working with heavy earthmoving equipment is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Removing and fitting rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment.
• Removing and refitting tyres and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment.
• Performing regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjusting, and reporting to supervisor.
• Source technical information from available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems.
• Initiating actions to prevent equipment non-conformance, identifying and recording quality problems, and recommending solutions through designated channels.
