Rostering Coordinator

About the Role:
In this pivotal position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive the best possible care by coordinating rosters for our dedicated staff. You will work closely with care managers, team leaders, and staff to develop efficient and compliant rosters that meet service needs, staff preferences, and award regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Roster Creation and Maintenance: Utilize our rostering software to create and maintain staff rosters, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, award agreements, and service needs.
- Shift Allocation: Manage staff availability, preferences, and qualifications when allocating shifts.
- Staffing Solutions: Proactively address staffing gaps and shortages to ensure continuity of care.
- Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze rostering data to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency.
- Communication: Liaise with care managers, team leaders, and staff to address rostering concerns and feedback.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all rostering activities.
- Legislation Awareness: Stay informed of changes in legislation and award agreements impacting rostering practices.
- Onboarding: Collaborate with HR to onboard new employees into the rostering system.
- Efficiency Recommendations: Analyze data related to rostering efficiency and make recommendations for improvements.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to teams on an ad-hoc basis.
- Work Environment: Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Rostering Coordinator or in a similar role (highly desirable).
- Ability to adapt to using technology/systems for scheduling (Emplive or Mirus experience desirable).
- Positive and adaptable attitude in a changing environment.
- Ability to cope with short-term deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Initiative and highly organized skills.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Agreements (Nurses and Aged Care award).
- Current Police Check.
- Working Rights in Australia.
