Lead Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a highly respected company and global leader in innovation and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct systems analysis to derive function, performance, and interface requirements that meet electrical safety parameters.
  • Engage with system design activities (including trade studies) to ensure the mechanical design artefacts are compatible with the baselined product and consistent across all subsystems.
  • Perform technical risk analysis as required in your work as the mechanical engineer to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments, and risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure assigned mechanical components are developed and implemented according to appropriate standards and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline; holding a minimum tertiary qualification and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as CPEng with Engineers Australia in a relevant engineering stream.
  • Experience in an engineering discipline including involvement in one or more of the following engineering practices: Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design, and Verification and Validation.
  • Experience in effectively representing engineering professional services to both internal and external customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience when a university degree is held.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices and be able to apply this knowledge to complex projects.
