About the Role

As an Electrical Switchboard Designer, you will be an integral part of our organization, translating electrical designs into accurate and detailed drawings. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Designers to produce high-quality LV and MV switchboard designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create precise electrical drawings and single-line diagrams for LV and MV switchboards.
  • Maintain project-specific document control and revisions.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Designers to develop compliant and innovative switchboard designs while adhering to Australian Standards and client specifications.
  • Liaise with Project Managers to obtain design approval and manage changes during construction.
  • Conduct inspections of completed projects before dispatch.

Skill Requirements:

  • Experience in designing and constructing Low and Medium Voltage switchboards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD in a 2D environment.
  • Ability to interpret Single Line Diagrams and Schematics accurately.
  • Familiarity with local electrical standards, including AS3000 wiring rules and AS/NZS 61439.
  • Strong technical engineering or trade background, preferably in switchroom and switchboard manufacturing.
