Job Overview

  • This skilled Electrical Designer position is an excellent opportunity to strengthen our engineering business.
  • The successful candidate will interpret client specifications and produce accurate electrical layouts using AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3-5 years of experience in LV panel or switchboard design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical (or similar) and SolidWorks for both 2D and 3D design.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian electrical regulations and manufacturing compliance.
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present confidently to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive switchboard drawings using AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks.
  2. Specify breakers, contactors, relays, metering, enclosures, and other critical components to suit each project's needs.
  3. Ensure every design aligns with AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000, and relevant client standards.
  4. Support FAT/SAT testing, risk assessments, and design reviews, incorporating feedback to refine outputs.
