This role involves providing administrative support to the Planning and Regulation directorate, assisting with various tasks such as maintaining animal registrations, managing residential parking permits, and processing infringement notices.
The Administrative Officer will also be responsible for providing support in the formulation of Council reports, briefing papers, business cases, and quarterly reporting, as well as updating databases.
Requirements- Experience in an administrative role, preferably in the Local Government sector.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate with customers at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to exercise initiative and judgement to solve problems as they occur.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work in a team environment in a friendly and positive manner.
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft Office suite including MS outlook.
- Demonstrated commitment to punctuality and reliability in accordance with the agreed working hours of the position.
- C class drivers license.
This casual role attracts a salary of $50.00 per hour inclusive of a Casual Loading.
Free parking is available, and ongoing training and professional development opportunities are provided.
Working HoursThe position is casual, with up to 24 hours per fortnight, with flexibility in the days/hours worked.
