About the Role
Holistic Care Solutions is seeking experienced support workers to provide essential daily living support to a 65-year-old participant with traumatic brain injury and orthopaedic injuries in Muswellbrook. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with household tasks, personal organisation, and daily routines, as well as accompanying the participant for grocery shopping and driving them to medical appointments in Newcastle.

About You
We are looking for compassionate and skilled support workers who have experience supporting individuals with traumatic brain injuries and physical disabilities. You will need to hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Individual Support or Nursing studies, and have paid experience in a similar role. You will also need to obtain a National Police Check, Yellow Card/National Disability Worker Screening Clearance, NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion, Right to Work Status, Current First Aid & CPR Certificate, and Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with household tasks, including stripping and making beds, general tidying, laundry, and bulk meal preparation.
  • Provide support with personal organisation and daily routines.
  • Accompany the participant for grocery shopping in the town centre.
  • Drive the participant in their vehicle for medical appointments in Newcastle as required.
  • Maintain accurate shift notes and follow behaviour support strategies.
