Education Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Education Support Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will provide career development advice, vocational and education assistance to consumers, ensuring they can achieve and maintain sustainable participation in vocational education and employment.

Job Description:

The primary purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with the Medicare Mental Health Centre team to deliver career development and education support services to consumers. This includes providing individualized support, coordinating education and training initiatives, and contributing to the development of new programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide career guidance and education assistance to consumers, promoting their engagement and participation in vocational education and employment
  • Work collaboratively with the Medicare Mental Health Centre team to develop and implement education and training initiatives
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of new programs and services, ensuring they meet the needs of consumers and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, tracking consumer progress and program outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, identifying areas for growth and implementing changes to improve service delivery

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in education, social work, or a related field
  • Experience working with people with mental health needs or disabilities, preferably in an education or vocational setting
  • Knowledge of local education providers and admissions systems, as well as employment-related services and legislation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with consumers, staff, and external partners
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and relevant databases
