Mechanical Engineer Role Overview

As a mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering high-performance custom mechanical hoisting solutions. This includes motors, hoists, gearboxes, clamps & weighing scales for stage rigging applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and engineering high-performance custom mechanical hoisting solutions
  • Utilizing CAD software (preferably Inventor) to create detailed and accurate designs
  • Conducting finite element analysis (FEA) and simulations to optimise designs for performance
  • Ensuring all designs meet strict safety protocols and standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in motors, rigging, hoists, gearboxes, motion and lifting mechanisms ideally in the entertainment, industrial or automation sectors
  • Proven experience in weight calculations, bend force analysis, and CAD/FEA tools
  • Knowledgeable about safety standards and load cell systems for real-time weight monitoring
