Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and guidance on environmental law and policy to support the Department's work in climate action, energy, and natural resource management.
- Conduct research and analysis on complex environmental law and policy issues to inform decision-making.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable development and environmental protection.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement policies and programs that support the Department's goals.
- Represent the Department in external forums and meetings to promote its interests and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Hold or be eligible to hold an Australian practising certificate under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria).
- Demonstrate expertise in environmental law and policy, with a strong understanding of the Department's areas of specialization.
- Have excellent research, analysis, and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
