Project Governance Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Governance Strategist to join our team at RACV. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about project governance and planning.
Job Description- Role Overview
- This dynamic role involves coordinating enterprise-wide cadences, ensuring stakeholder engagement, and maintaining prioritised roadmaps and pipeline artefacts.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and have a strong understanding of project governance principles and both waterfall & agile methodologies. You will be skilled at systems thinking, capable of managing large, interrelated streams of work, and possess exceptional stakeholder relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate enterprise cadences & work submissions, ensuring stakeholder engagement
- Ensure adherence to project governance standards for consistent planning & delivery performance
- Prepare executive-level reporting on behalf of the PMO
- Maintain prioritised project pipeline views for major technology systems
- Develop & deliver department and project training materials to support the adoption of changes in areas of responsibility
- Surface and maintain enterprise dependencies, risks & issues across the portfolio.
- Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in E/PMO, or direct involvement in Enterprise Strategic Planning & support
- Applied knowledge of Project, Program and Portfolio governance frameworks and Project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc.)
- Degree in Business, Risk, IT or related discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience in project delivery or governance
- The ability to understand how systems connect together, and to solve for challenges / opportunities holistically.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and build relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail
- Capable of analysing information, creating reports, and promoting evidence-based decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Project
- Project Management certification (e.g. Prince2, PMI or P30 or equivalent), highly desirable
