Room Leader Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced and passionate Room Leaders to join our team as key contributors in delivering quality learning experiences for children. As a Room Leader, you will play a vital role in implementing engaging educational programs, fostering positive relationships with families, colleagues, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and guiding a team of educators in creating and implementing effective learning experiences for children in indoor and outdoor environments, documenting and extending their learning journeys.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community.
  • Ensuring all health, safety, and centre policies are upheld along with licensing, legislation, and regulations.
  • Supporting the effective operation of the workplace by collaborating with colleagues, sharing ideas, and working together as a cohesive team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or ECT qualification (or currently pursuing)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, emergency Asthma management, and Anaphylaxis training.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in early childhood services.
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or Early Childhood Teacher qualifications.
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid & CPR certificate.
