Extended Hours Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Extended Hours Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who wants to make a positive impact on children's lives.

In this role, you will be working alongside experienced Educators to provide support and guidance to children's learning and development. You will be part of a collaborative team that works together to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to grow and thrive.

The Extended Hours Program commences from the end of the Kindergarten Program and continues the children's learning into the afternoon. As our Coordinator in the extended program, you will work closely with the Educators to ensure seamless transition and continuity of care.

To succeed in this role, you will have or be willing to work towards:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care;
  • Actively working towards an ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (highly desirable but not essential);
  • First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification;
  • Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card;
  • Current National Police Check;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Educators to provide support and guidance to children's learning and development;
  • Develop and implement engaging programs that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to children's progress and well-being;
  • Foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues;
