The role

At Zaparas Lawyers, we believe in nurturing talent and providing an environment where passionate individuals can thrive and advance in their legal careers. We are currently expanding our Workcover team and are looking for a Lawyer passionate about building their career in WorkCover and Personal Injury Law.

This is a growth role in the team and we are open to someone with previous experience in Personal Injury looking to advance their career in a high performing team. You will be working closely with Senior Lawyers and a Partner.

  • Advise and represent clients, specialising in Workcover cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and prepare for trial.
  • Advise clients on legal rights and obligations, and develop effective case strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients in court and during alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure comprehensive and efficient case management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Actively participate in networking and business development activities which seeks to grow the firm's client base, standing and reputation.
About you
  • We are keen to speak with Admitted Lawyers with a passion to build their career in Workcover and Personal Injury Law.
  • Prior experience in Workcover Law.
  • Motivation and passion to learn and excel.
  • Exposure to litigation and court work would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders effectively.
  • Exceptional client focus, fostering relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ambitious and looking to invest in your career and be part of a growth area.
