Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Workplace Safety and Wellbeing Specialist to join our People and Culture team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the implementation of LHG's Work Health & Safety (WHS) Strategic Plan, promote workplace wellbeing initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead WHS and wellbeing programs to ensure alignment with legislative requirements and best practices
* Conduct WHS audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to uphold a safe workplace
* Develop and implement wellbeing initiatives that enhance employee mental, physical, and social wellbeing
* Train and coach leaders to build their WHS capability and embed a culture of safety-first thinking
* Partner with senior leaders, WHS committees, and external bodies to implement effective safety and wellbeing solutions
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent experience
* Proven experience in WHS roles, with strong knowledge of legislation, compliance, and risk management
* Demonstrated success in developing and implementing safety and wellbeing programs
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
* Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
What You'll Bring:

* A current Australian driver's licence (P2 or above) and willingness to travel between sites
