About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate **Supported Playgroup Facilitator** to join our team. As a key member of our community services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality playgroup programs and services to families in our region.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and care, with experience in working with vulnerable families and developing strategies to support regular attendance at supported playgroups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate play experiences that meet the physical and cultural needs of children.
  • Effectively engage and support families who meet the eligibility criteria and encourage participation in supported playgroup experiences.
  • Provide in-home support to families who meet additional criteria, working collaboratively with parent's case workers and other professionals as required.
  • Collect and provide data to the Early Years and Positive Ageing Co-ordinator, maintaining all required paperwork and records.
  • Report hazards and incidents in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of professional ethics at all times.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in early childhood education and care, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with vulnerable families, including outreach case management.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to support regular attendance at supported playgroups.
  • Sound knowledge and skills in group work and facilitation, with the ability to work collaboratively with various community agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and community engagement.
